Privacy Policy
What information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
In short: we collect only what we need to contact you and provide our services. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not track you across other websites.
You can ask us at any time what information we have on file, and request that we correct or delete it. Email info@timeless-tech.ca.
Who we are
Timeless Tech is a registered trade name of Malaki Vandas, a sole proprietor based in Western Canada, who is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
For any question about this policy, or to make a request about your information, email info@timeless-tech.ca.
What we collect, and why
When you register for coaching or support. We collect your name, email address, year of birth, what you would like help with, the days and times you are available, your time zone, and how you heard about us. We use this to contact you, to understand what help you need, and to arrange a session at a time that suits you. Your year of birth tells us roughly what stage of life we are working with, which shapes how we teach.
When you leave a review. We collect your name, email address, the review itself, and a photograph if you choose to include one. Your name, review and photograph may be published on this website. Your email address is not published — we keep it to confirm that a review is genuinely yours, and so that we can verify your identity if you later ask us to remove it.
To prevent abuse of the review form. Because the review form accepts file uploads, we limit how many reviews can be submitted from one place in a short period. To do this we convert your network address into a scrambled value that cannot be read back or turned into an address again, and store only that. The scrambling method changes daily, so these values stop being linkable to anything after twenty-four hours. We do not store network addresses from the registration form at all.
When you simply visit the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not follow you to other websites. It gives us totals only — we cannot identify individual visitors from it.
Consent
We collect this information because you choose to give it to us by filling in a form. Submitting a form is your consent for us to use the information for the purposes described above.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@timeless-tech.ca. We will then delete your information, other than anything we are legally required to keep — business and tax records, for example. If that applies to you, we will tell you what we are keeping and why.
Where your information is stored
Our database and any photographs you upload are held by Cloudflare on servers in western North America. Our email is held by Zoho on servers in Canada. Notification emails are sent through Resend, a service based in the United States, which keeps a record of messages it has sent.
The owner of Timeless Tech currently lives outside Canada and reads enquiries, reviews and email from there. This means your information is accessed from outside Canada, and while it is outside Canada it may be subject to the laws of the country it is accessed from.
How long we keep it
- If you enquire but do not become a client, we delete your information twenty-four months after we last had contact with you.
- If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as we are working together, and for seven years afterwards. Canadian tax law requires us to keep business records for that period.
- Published reviews stay on the site until you ask us to remove them.
- Reviews we do not publish are deleted within ninety days.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- remove a review you have left.
Email info@timeless-tech.ca and we will respond within thirty days. Please write from the email address you gave us — if you cannot, we may ask you to confirm your identity another way, so that nobody can request or delete someone else’s information.
Keeping your information safe
Information you send us travels over an encrypted connection and is stored on servers run by established providers. Access is limited to those who need it to provide our services. No system can be guaranteed entirely secure, but if a breach occurred that created a real risk of harm to you, we would tell you and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.
Other websites
Some of our guides link to products on Amazon. If you follow one of those links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon handles your information under its own privacy policy, not this one. The same is true of any other website we link to.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date below.
